Director of Development

The Concord Community Music School (CCMS) serves 1400 students weekly and more than 33,000 audience members and community participants annually. An exceptional artist faculty teach and perform classical, folk, jazz and world music. Recent development successes include sustaining a 40% contributed income ratio on a $1.6M annual budget, a $3M capital campaign (1998-2001), and major challenge grants from the Hearst Foundation and Jane's Trust.

The Director of Development is a member of the senior management team, and is responsible for all development activities, including major gifts from individuals, the Annual Fund, and grants oversight, with the support of a Database Manager and a Foundation & Government Support Manager. The successful candidate, in addition to demonstrated success in annual/capital fundraising, will be passionate about CCMS mission and programs, and able to shape a compelling case for support.
