2008 Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker
Scott Spradling is an Emmy Award-winning former political
director for WMUR-TV, where he co-anchored News9 at
Five and hosted a weekly political talk show, Close-Up.
Spradling worked as the main political reporter and covered
events from the Statehouse to the White House for 12 years.
His stories spanned four governors and included three New
Hampshire presidential primaries. He was the first local
reporter to interview President George W. Bush in the Oval
Office after his inauguration in 2001.
Before joining WMUR, Spradling worked for nearly three
years at WGIR radio in Manchester as a general assignment
reporter and hosted a weekly public affairs talk show.
Spradling is proud to say he married up and
is about to celebrate his sixth wedding anniversary with
his wife, Angela. The couple has 4-year-old twins - Alexis
and Brady - and a chocolate lab, Lacey, who is very patient
with all of them.
